Sesto (sextus ab urbe lapis) "Fiorentino" since1869. 

Where Sesto is today ,  there have been found Etruscan settlements and even prehistorical, as shown by some recent archelogical diggings.

Of the Etruscan period there remains the tombs at tholos, two in perfect conditions, the Tomba della Mula and the Tomba della Montagnola.     Also to be visited is the Museo della Cultura Contadina. 

Sesto Fiorentino is famous for its production in porcelain  (Ginori, Manifattura di Doccia, Museo della Porcellana).
